Our honey has a minimum MGO 300+ (Methylglyoxal). This is the key active marker found in Manuka. The higher the number, the higher the concentration. Our honey is tested independently in New Zealand.

A spoonful of heaven with a touch of authenticity

A pot of honey often shares a wonderful tale of its journey from hive to home. This golden treat is not just any honey; it boasts a distinctive thickness, with a floral yet slightly medicinal hint. A spoonful transformed my morning porridge, adding a gentle sweetness that didn't dominate. Its thick texture certainly sets it apart from standard supermarket honey, and knowing it comes from New Zealand gives it a touch of authenticity that I really value. My nine-year-old, to my surprise, enjoys a little on her toast, while I like a blob in my tea. Knowing it's raw and unprocessed, keeping all its natural qualities, makes it feel like money well spent. With the extra appeal of a QR code offering detailed insight into its production, it serves as a fine option that combines quality with traceability, making it truly treasured in our kitchen. Top class

Lovely honey!

I've tried a few manuka honey's in the past and like all of them, this is more like caramel in appearance & texture with the flavour being not as sweet as golden 'traditional' honey to me. It does have a similar flavour just not as sweet to me.I love this mixed into my porridge, it adds a wonderful flavour and light sweetness which compliments the other toppings I use really well. For me, I find using it sparingly works best, the flavour can get intense if I use too much and it takes over from all my other mix-ins and is all I can taste, that's not a bad thing really as it is lovely but I prefer it complimenting my other items!

A Delicious Manuka Honey

This Manuka honey from Wonder Honey features a large and prominent QR code on the screw lid. On scanning it and then entering in the "Lot Number" (found on the side of the jar), you're taken to a web page which provides quite a lot of information about the honey in your specific jar/batch. It's interesting to see the level of detail and offers the reassurance that this is definitely the real thing. As for the honey,... well it is a more soft-set honey and a lovely golden colour. It tastes fantastic from the spoon which is how I eat it but would also work well if you chose to put it on crumpets or toast.

Sweet raw honey

This honey comes in a pot with a QR code. Scan the code and enter the lot number and you get taken to a page with all the information about the honey including certifications and details on its pureness, locations (roughly) of the hives, details of packaging including the offset for the travel from New Zealand to BritainThe honey has a seal for protection and a long best before date. Opening it shows you the thick set honey. The honey tastes of ummm….. honey which is great. It has a slightly floral and medicinal aftertaste which is not at all unpleasant.Manuka honey is used for lots of things such as eating and spreading on things as well as it’s medicinal properties. I would encourage you to do your own research on this. Me I intend to take little spoonfuls of this and add to porridge and possibly baking. Yum!Read up and make your own mind up as to whether it is worth the £16 when ordering. Me, I think it is competitively priced for a quality raw and unprocessed Manuka honey from a smaller retailer and I look forward to incorporating it into my daily routine.
